A Teen Transfer Program is designed for students who have already completed part of their driver education journey with another approved provider but still need to complete their required in-car instruction.
This can be a helpful option for teens who have finished classroom or online coursework elsewhere but still need structured practice behind the wheel.
In Texas, teen driver education includes in-car training that is generally divided into:
- 7 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction
- 7 hours of observation instruction
That means students complete a total of 14 in-car hours as part of the required training process.
